Hi! this is my first ever post + blog and I intend not to be popular, but to finally keep a diary of my the everyday going ons in my life, which before I dreaded before because I can't concentrate when im writing and will probably eventually ramble on about nothing important if I did try to keep a written diary. Anyways, typing is alot faster than writing and uses more kilojoules (I presume lol).
I like sunsets over sunrises, enjoy a broad spectrum of music and adore turkish delights. I can be ruthless if you are a person with an impressive ego too.
So. My life may not always be that interesting but sometimes 'exciting' things happen, for example I went and watched the Funakoshi Gichin Shotokan Karate Cup a week or two back which was GREAT! I went to watch some close friends compete, along with my dojo and help/work as a court marshall with a good friend of mine. The junior events were on thursday which all my friends competed in. The age groups were 8, 9, 10, 11 ect and then 16-18 years old, you should of seen the 8 year olds from Japan! They wore faded, and I mean faded as in nearly white, black belts which screamed I AM GOOD RESPECT ME that I've only ever seen few old (30+ not that 30 is old heh) sensei's have. Obviously meaning they've been a black belt for yonks and are bloody good at hurting whatever they want to. The japs attitudes towards karate and skill matched their belts, and guess who won every event? Yess.. Japan.. Except for the 13yr olds kumite, AUSTRALIA WON THAT! A boy called Micheal from Queensland won after a long gruelling and repetative match (they had 2 minute rounds over and over again until it was sorta like sudden death, first person to score a point won) The stadium (or aussies who were watching) erupted when we saw Micheal throw that last punch, people on the sidelines on the courts just started jumping and screaming. The atmosphere was electric! I was so happy that we finally won an event, it was Australias first gold medal at a junior karate world cup and I think I freaked poor Micheal out when I ran up to him afterwards and screamed at him, You did a bloody good job! One of my friends also won a bronze medal! In kumite too. Quite a few people say she won it by fluke, and by luck (including some betraying friends of hers and mine) and I may not really agree, but I think it was luck that she won. She didn't have to vs any South Africans (who also dominated) or Japanese, only a Scottish sister and I think a Namibian girl. Then when she went onto the finals to vs a japanese (if she won, she would of also had to vs a japanese) and didn't even get to block or do any kind of move when the ref said hajimei and shiro instantly (there are two sides, akka (red) and shiro (white), my friend was akka) dove at her, slide, fell but before she fell onto her face she threw a quick and hard punch at her abdomen and won a wazagari (half-point) then played with her in the next round but eventually punched her again before akka could move at all and won another wazagari, which adds up to an ippon (full point) and won. She was good. My poor friend was exhausted but relieved and burst into tears after the bow-out yelping 'I got third' she held up 3 fingers 'THIRD!!' and fell into a hug from her non-official coach/sensei. No, she wasn't upset that she didn't win. she was bloody ectastic. My other friends brother tied 3rd in kumite as well (after having to vs his friend from our dojo!) Heh, me and his sister were screaming 'Shloggi una nai!!' Which she told me means, give him one! throw him one! or something but he understood it he told us afterwards and was encouraged by it. Im so proud of everyone from Australia, and tried my best to look patriotic at all the events, junior and senior by wearing green and gold zinc, aus flag tatts all over my face and legs and constantly waving around the flag. We won a few medals in the seniors events on Saturday and Sunday, all by the girls! Or, Jodie, Deb, Tracy and Storm (with Jodie Deb and Storm from our dojo) I remember that I was going to tell the person next to me when Storm won 2nd in kumite that the aussie that just smashed in a Japanese womens face was my teacher. Boy was I proud heh. Those 3 days were days I and many other people will never forget, and hope to compete in the next World Cup (probably in Japan.. as usual) in two years time as a black belt. My parents said that they would help pay for the trip there! Im so excited, and look forward to every lesson I have now at the dojo.
Enough of karate.
Today was an alright school day. I prayed last night that I would be able to be myself around others that I am normally not comfortable with but of course that didn't happen. But, I did show a bit of my weird sense of humour and talkativity in class albeit I was feeling quite down after I got the marks in my maths test back. 37.5/45! Dude! I studied damn hard for that frigging test and it did count for quite a bit of my semesters marks and expected to get 40-44. Oh well, I should suck up to the teacher so he can give me all those half-marks that I will probably lose for being .01 off the answer or not showing all the working-out next time I do a test. I do have a tutor to help me with maths and other subjects, but she has been calling off sick lately heaps so I will blame her for not getting a good mark, hehe.. Oh! There is this girl in the year above us who sits with her tag-along friend, by themselves, in the seats outside the Design&Tech/industrial studies rooms. Oh jeez, she is so funny. She hates us so much, and always rams her fat shoulders into us when we pass her in the corridors. We don't really hate her, even though we act like it calling her a fat shitface, bitch ect and sitting next to her on the seats staring at her for most of lunch (not a waste, great form of entertainment) or ask her questions and stuff. Today she gave a very interesting lecture on toning, cleansing and acne, plus the comments of ugliness on our unwashed, filthy faces. Her friend started defending her when we called her a stupid pisshead for calling us, in the first place 'children'. First, we are not children, nor are we kids, pre-teens or anything as such. We are less than a year younger than her! I started patting her friend (Liz) on the shoulder and going 'Aww it's alright sweety, that's right, just let it all out' lol you should of seen the face she gave me and how she pushed my hand away. My friends continued the stupidity and attracted (as usual) the huge crowd of people from our grade and randoms earning laughs from everyone and humilitation for Skinnylegs (our nickname for her) and Liz. They think they're so much better for us because they sport a different year on the end of their birth date. Tomorrow we are going to approach her again, she called a much-loved member of our a group something very mean (after she said that she wouldn't be able to fit through the walkway lol).
Well that's not the only things that happened today, but I don't have time for more. I gotta get ready for my saxophone lesson tomorrow (2nd ever lesson with a amazingly hot teacher), finish off a model of a trachea and practice some piano. If anyone has any near-orginial sheet music of Beethoven's, Moonlight Sonata please contact me! I will appreciate it muchly.
I hope you enjoyed reading my first ever post!
Up and down, over and out
